Please allow me to interrupt your oh-so-exciting Monday with these luscious photos of Bahamas and Turks & Caicos. I realize I start to resemble a broken record with every destination we’ve traveled being described as “surreal,” “exotic,” and “breathtaking,” but these adjectives pale in comparison to the raw, undisturbed beauty you’re about to witness below.
Warning: Wanderlust will ensue.
I’m sure you’ll agree that these images are the appropriate response to the current less-than-thrilling weather conditions and the fact that, as much as I may try to deny the fact, it is no longer summer.
Sunshine, white sand, palm trees and the bluest water you’ve ever laid eyes on – there is simply no better way to spend a birthday than with a five-day celebration in paradise, otherwise known as the Caribbean Islands. In all honesty, I cannot even begin to express how fortunate I feel to experience these rare and magical moments with my husband. I will never tire of the panoramic views of picturesque granite boulders, the soul-gripping rush of emotions while standing on the edge of a cliff, mere steps from a plunging death, listening to the serene brutality with which the ocean waves crash into the rocks below.
So if you’re like me – already dreaming of summertime even though it’s only September – I hope my travel diaries will encourage you to start making plans of your own – and not the kind of plans where you daydream of faraway places only to return to mundanity.
Should you find yourself hesitant to return to that spreadsheet you were oh-so-eagerly fixing before getting distracted by this post, feel free to browse more beach photos from Cabo da Roca, Cinque Terre and Dubrovnik.
