How to Tile a Shower: A Step-by-Step Guide

How to Tile a Shower: A Step-by-Step Guide

If you are just now tuning in, the husband and I bought an abandoned 1930 bungalow. We’ve spent the past eleven (eleven?!) months working hard to once again make it resemble a house. To catch up on our progress so far, feel free to browse all Bungalow Renovation posts.

Please forgive me for the brief hiatus on the blog. If you follow “FOXYOXIE” on Snapchat, you’ve likely already seen how I spend EACH AND EVERY SINGLE FREE MINUTE: assembling and installing our IKEA kitchen cabinets.

Renovating a house DIY-style is exhausting, ya’ll.

BUT it’s also fun, too, especially when you (finally) see the fruit of your intensive labor – something that feels like a distant, unattainable dream as far as the kitchen is concerned.

Le sigh…

Speaking of DIY, last week I shared with you a project I worked on with Wayfaira step-by-step instruction guide to tiling the bathroom floor. Today, I’m sharing the second installment of this project: a DIY guide on how to tile a shower.

Looking to update your bathroom shower with custom tile? Follow this link for the full, step-by-step tutorial. Can’t wait to hear what you think!

I’d love to hear from you about any home improvement projects you’re tackling this summer – especially if they’re tile-related! If there’s anything I missed in the tutorial, or you have any questions, feel free to reach out! I’ll do my best to help any way I can!

Oh, and if you’d like behind-the-scenes sneak peeks into the progress at the #StrelkovBungalow, come hang out with us on Snapchat (username “FOXYOXIE”). Easy-peasy, right?

This project is brought to you in collaboration with Wayfair. As always, all content, ideas, opinions and words are my own. Thanks for supporting the amazing companies that allow me to create unique content while featuring products I truly use and love.

  4. Oh goodness. I’m not sure that is a project I’d be able to take on by myself. Luckily, I’m still renting so I won’t have to worry about this for a bit. If I ever do though, I wouldn’t mind assisting someone haha.

    • Haha, you bring up a very good point, Tiffany! Renovating – especially on such a large scale – is definitely not for everyone, and that’s perfectly okay! Different strokes for different folks, as they say! :)

  5. This is great! I definitely see my boyfriend doing something like this in the future – he prides himself as a craftsman, ha!

  6. I LOVE RENOVATIONS! HGTV is my home channel and that shower is so aesthetically pleasing. Congrats on the renovations!!
