With the NotWedding Chattanooga less than two weeks away, the FOXY OXIE studio is a beautiful, chaotic mess, as evidenced by the irregular updates on Instagram. For those just now tuning in, FOXY OXIE, a stationery and calligraphy studio founded by yours truly, was chosen as one of the official stationery vendors of the event. I am ecstatic to be designing thank you cards, banners and miscellaneous signage and lettering accents for the event, and I could not have dreamed of a better opportunity to officially introduce my work to the local community.
The NotWedding is a bridal show alternative, complete with a ceremony, a delicious dinner and a dance-party reception. Wedding guests are brides- and grooms-to-be who get to truly experience the hand-selected wedding vendors in action, leaving the guests saying, “I want my wedding to be just like that!” The event serves as a source of inspiration, a resource in finding trusted wedding vendors and an emotional reminder to plan for what comes after the wedding: a marriage!
Some of you have asked about the couple that will be “getting married” at the event. I’m excited to share with you this Save the Date shoot by the talented Haley Bilunas of Photos by Heart, who not only captured the sweet, sweet love between the two lovebirds but also the rugged beauty of the place I call home. Lauren and Jonathan are an already-married couple who will re-tie the knot at the Waterhouse Pavilion at Miller Plaza on November 20.
As it so happens, Jonathan is also a fellow Lee alum with whom I had several classes, so I’m super excited to reconnect and to meet his gorgeous wife!
Browse through past events to get a feel of just how fun these events are, and if you haven’t already, purchase your tickets before it is too late! Be sure to look for the FOXY OXIE vendor table for your chance to win up to $200 worth of wedding stationery! I look forward to meeting all of you beautiful brides-to-be!
